The project involved research in Dusty Plasma Physics. I was tasked with writing the complete list of all dust charging mechanisms that have been studied. My work materialized into a report which summarized all dust charging theories, established computer simulations along with proposed but not fully understood dust charging mechanisms. This project proposal received the EPSRC bursary.

The University of Bologna
Laurea Magistrale in Theoretical Physics (Msc)

Bologna, Italy

Grade: with Merit (equivalent)
Masters course with emphasis on theory of particle physics.
MSc Quantitative Finance Thesis
URIThe thesis explores the use of Monte Carlo methods to test the efficiency of the Euler discretization scheme in the Rough Heston model. It evaluates the scheme's performance in pricing European, Asian, and Lookback options, particularly in the short term. The study also compares the Euler method to other approaches, like the Quadratic Exponential scheme, and examines how well it converges to the Rough Heston model's characteristic function. Finally, it provides insights into the conditions where the Euler scheme is most usable.

Grade: with Merit
Masters course with emphasis on theory of particle physics.
MSc Theoretical Physics Dissertation
Leading order radiation of non rotating scattering black holes was computed using modern scattering amplitude methods. The thesis used Generalized Unitarity at tree level in order to remove additional degrees of freedom generated by the Double Copy procedure. Comments were made on how to calculate the gravitational waveform using the KMOC formalism.

BSc Theoretical and Computational Project
My work was focused on the study of electromagnetic surface states, called Floquet modes, found at the interface of 2 photonic crystals of different geometric phase. The project successfully reproduced the work of M.Xiao et al (Phys. Rev. X 4, 021017) and build upon it by studying the effect of obliquely incident EM waves in 1D photonic systems.
